Old Soldier Never Die: He’s the one”George Russell has finally opened up on his actual Boss after recent addmission….

Russell reportedly took a tow from both cars as pole sitter Lando Norris and leader Max Verstappen engaged in a heated duel on the run down to the first curve following the start. The Mercedes charger then made a left turn to attack Turn 1 from the outside, using his extra speed to blow past his competitors and take the lead. After the race on Sunday, Russell revealed he had worked out his assault strategy the night before, remembering Alonso’s incredible start at the Circuit de Catalunya in 2011. The Spaniard made quick work of two Red Bulls and Lewis Hamilton at Turn 1, moving from fourth to first place.

I saw the weather forecast and the wind had changed to a headwind in Turn 1, which I knew meant I could brake really late and deep into the corner. Yeah, I was kind of dreaming about it last night and what my plan of attack was. Yeah, when I was racing karts, I always remember watching Fernando here in 2012 [2011 actually], starting P4 and getting into the lead. So, I always knew it was possible.” The man said to the media.

Sadly, while being a fantastic move, Russell’s bold strategy proved ineffective as Verstappen quickly passed him and he ended the race fourth with a soft-medium-hard tire strategy that had not worked out. “I believe that we were hampered today by a few minor issues,” he stated. You know, we were a little under pressure and on the back foot during the middle stint because of the slow pit stop. After that, you know, we lost a lot of time battling Lando and scraped on the hard tire. That was kind of garbage, but as a team, it safeguarded the P3 and P4, which is kind of what we were going for.
