Kevin Walters has finally released a shocking Bomb after raw Immortal choice claim..
Kevin Walters, the coach of the Brisbane Broncos and a former representative playmaker for the NSW Blues and Kangaroos, has made a prediction about which former player will be the next Immortal. The 14th Immortal will be admitted for the first time since 2018 and join a distinguished list that now comprises 13 rugby league superstars, the NRL said last week.
The first four Immortals to be inducted were Johnny Raper, Bob Fulton, Clive Churchill, and Reg Gasnier. Graeme Langlands, Wally Lewis, Andrew Johns, Dave Brown, Frank Burge, Mal Meninga, Dally Messenger, and Norm Provan would follow them.
A number of former players, coaches, and commentators have weighed in on who should be inducted as the next Immortal approaches. Walters feels Allan Langer should be the next Immortal after he played 292 games for the Canberra Raiders and Brisbane Broncos in the NRL.
Along with Ron Coote, Peter Sterling, Brett Kenny, and Ken Irvine, Langer is among the front-runners.
“In my opinion, Allan Langer is significantly underestimated when it comes to elite athletes and players who are considered immortals,” Walters stated. “On the field, he accomplished everything for the Broncos, whether it was leading the team to four premierships, Queensland to series victories, or Australia.
“But these days, my opinion doesn’t really matter.” He was the one with the money. That was a common belief among all the Broncos players during that time. Many of us would go to the bank and swipe our cards, but Alfie always had something, especially when the game was getting close. I can still clearly recall what always came out of the machine when he tried to use it. “All they need to do now is make him immortal—they already have a statue of him.”
Langer, a former Brisbane Broncos captain, led the team to four titles and was awarded the Clive Churchill and Rothmans Medals in 1992. Langer, one of the greatest Queensland players to ever don the No. 7 jumper, played in 338 games for the Warrington Wolves, Brisbane Broncos, and Ipswich Jets from 1986 to 2002. In the State of Origin arena, he made 37 appearances for Queensland and participated in 25 games for the Australian Kangaroos.
