According to Calciomercato.com, the Irons are interested in signing Braga attacker Simon Banza. This transfer adds the Hammers to the growing list of clubs interested in the in-form forward. Banza has been on fire in Portugal since he joined Braga on loan in 2021. He’s scored 37 goals in 87 outings, which has him looking for a larger challenge.

The striker’s remarkable performances have not gone unnoticed. Italian teams Roma and Fiorentina are both said to be interested in acquiring Banza.

West Ham’s interest coincides with a managerial change at the club. Julen Lopetegui, the incoming manager, is expected to receive major support in the transfer market. Lopetegui, who was reportedly irritated by the limits he experienced at his former club Wolves, is expected to appreciate the Hammers’ more active style. Banza’s credentials are unquestionable.
