“Every game i could hear my name”they made me feel like a beast with the ball” McKenna nurtured skillet vow to distroy premier league defence” only if the fans can breeze his name…

Jeremy Sarmiento, an Ipswich Town loan player, says he’s enjoyed being serenaded by Town supporters and feels great to be able to thank them with a Premier League promotion.

The talented 21-year-old winger made an instant impression on Blues supporters when he joined the team on loan from Premier League Brighton in January. With four goals in 22 games across all categories, he concluded the season with some incredible moments—the most memorable of which was his late-night winner against Southampton, a competitor for promotion, on Easter Monday.

He enthusiastically said, “I’m so happy to finish the season here,” to Radio Suffolk. “Ipswich was a family from the moment I arrived, and the fans showed me so much love – it’s amazing to give them back with this.” Since his arrival, the Ecuadorian international’s name has been heard frequently from the stands, as the Blue Army has been belting out one of their most well-known songs, which declares that he is magical.

“The fans have been incredibly kind to me since the day I arrived,” he went on. After I scored the equalizer in the first two games away to Leicester, everything went crazy. It was lovely to hear my name called out in the stands every time I played.

When promotion was announced, thousands of fans flocked to the Portman Road pitch to celebrate with their heroes, and Sarmiento had the opportunity to meet many of them. “It was crazy, everyone just running – they took my boots!” he remembered. “It was absurd. Just to be standing there and taking in the atmosphere created by everyone on the pitch is an incredible sensation. It’s a nice way to wrap up the season since we do it for you guys.

“I’ve been working hard on and off the pitch to be ready for these moments, even if it’s coming off the bench,” he remarked in regards to his development as a person at the Blues. “I have always given this club my all, and I continue to do so. Football is like this; these are the kinds of moments you will have for the rest of your life. Sarmiento, like every other player in the team, gave boss Kieran McKenna credit for his assistance in his development.

When asked if he thought he was a better player now than when he first arrived, he answered, “100%.” “I’ve always wanted to demonstrate my abilities on the field, whether as a starter or a substitute, and the gaffer has given me the chance to do so since I’ve came here. “I want to thank him and the boys as well because I’ve always given it my all during training sessions and he’s helped me a lot.”
