So shock: it’s clear now! Mark Stoops shamelessly accepted his stupid mistakes” amid changing college football landscape after he was giving a ridiculous query” I didn’t do a very good jo” stoops continues
Under Mark Stoops, the Kentucky Wildcats have had a disappointing season and will probably miss a bowl game for the first time in a long time.
Usually a club that is at least competitive on the field, the team this year has caused quite a stir among the supporters. In spite of this, the Cats are now searching for answers as they begin what may be the most significant offseason in the history of the sport.
There is no denying that college football has changed significantly in the past two years. The sport currently looks very different with NIL and the transfer portal, 100-player rosters, and profit sharing with the schools.
Mark Stoops was questioned about the adjustments and whether he had discussed them with his peers at the SEC Teleconference on Wednesday.
“We do want to be part of the solution and try to help,” Stoops stated. “It seems like it’s completely out of our hands, but we do try to get involved and try to help, discuss it, and if nothing else, maybe vent to each other.”
He continued:
But again, I’ll keep that to ourselves, because I don’t want that to be any headline, because everybody will say we make too much money to complain, and that’s true. But we are looking for solutions to just try to help the game, just get some common sense approaches to help the future of college football.”
After a solid response, the UK Head Coach seemingly gave the answer that most in the BBN likely wanted to hear;
“Clearly there’s been a few things that I could identify that I didn’t do a very good job with in the past couple of years. I don’t want to get into that and I’m not making an excuse, I just didn’t do a good enough job. I have to do better in certain areas. And I don’t want to say what that is, because I don’t want anybody to think it’s an excuse.”
