Michael Maguire has officially taken over as head coach of the Brisbane Broncos on a three-year deal, replacing Kevin Walters, who was unexpectedly sacked after the 2024 season. NSWRL chief executive Dave Trodden is overseas on a three-week holiday and will begin the process of finding a replacement for Maguire when he returns.
