BREAKING: West Ham officially” submit bid for £20m man Harry Kane called a ‘great player’ He could turn out to be the hottest” property in the team” 10 times better than Nicolas fullkrug…

West Ham have already made nine signings so far this summer – but Julen Lopetegui wants a tenth.

Director of Football at the London Stadium Tim Steidten has put a lot of effort into changing West Ham’s team; two notable additions are Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug.

Now – however – West Ham could make a tenth addition before Friday’s deadline…

West Ham targeting Tammy Abraham

Tammy Abraham is a late target for West Ham, who are still eager to add a striker to improve on Michail Antonio and Danny Ings despite having already spent £27 million to get Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund. Corriere dello Sport in Italy claims as much.

Gianluca Di Marzio has since added to this story – claiming that West Ham have actually now made a bid for the striker.

The Italian news outlet believe West Ham are showing late interest after hearing of Roma’s desperation to sell Abraham for financial reasons, with the Serie A outfit willing to offload the England international for just €23m (£20m) – much less than the £34m spent to sign him from Chelsea in August 2021

Corriere dello Sport believe the Hammers have already opened talks with Roma to request further information on the situation, as Everton and AC Milan also pay close attention.

Last season, Abraham – who Harry Kane once called a “great player” – scored just one goal in 12 appearances after battling back from a serious knee injury.

Hammers could get a bargain if England international avoids injury setback

Of course, some West Ham fans will be wary of spending around £20m on Abraham after his serious anterior cruciate ligament injury.

However, if the east Londoners can ensure that the 26-year-old is unlikely to suffer any setbacks during medical examinations, this could end up being a £20m bargain.

Abraham has previously scored 30 goals in 82 appearances for Chelsea – better than a goal every three games – while he has also netted 26 in 40 games for Aston Villa, and 26 in 48 for Bristol City.

It should also be noted that the Londoner is five years younger than the 31-year-old Fullkrug, so he would represent a more long term option for the Irons.

As you can see, Abraham’s goalscoring record in English football is superb, and if Steidten gets this deal over the line, it could prove to be inspired business for just £20m.

Fabrizio Romano shares Carlos Soler transfer update amid West Ham and Everton links

West Ham United and Everton have both been linked with Carlos Soler in recent days.

The Hammers have been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the Spaniard, but the Toffees have also entered the race of late.

Le Parisien reported earlier this week that West Ham were getting closer to an agreement for Soler worth around €23million (£19.5million) including add-ons.

However, Florian Plettenberg went on to report on Thursday that Everton had begun exploring a deal to sign Soler.

The 27-year-old has been on the Toffees’ wish-list for a “long time” and interest is “concrete”, added the Sky Sport Germany journalist

Carlos Soler prioritising West Ham move ahead of Everton and others

The transfer insider, taking to X, says Soler’s priority is West Ham. Despite other clubs being keen, the Hammers are leading the race.

Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui have been “pushing a lot” to get a deal for the Spain international over the line, added Romano.

West Ham lead Everton in race for ‘complete midfielder’

Romano’s latest report is great news for West Ham and bad news for Everton, with Soler firmly in the claret-and-blue camp as things stand.

Soler hasn’t managed to cement a place in the starting XI at PSG and, as such, it looks as though the club has decided to move him on.

Whoever gets Soler will be getting an exciting player with plenty of experience at the highest level.

His style of play has been compared to that of compatriots Santi Cazorla and David Silva, who played for Arsenal and Manchester City respectively.

Curro Torres, who coached Soler at Valencia, previously told AS, via Get Football News France: “He’s the complete midfielder and can act as a six, an eight or a 10; he has power, arrives in the box and can score.

I know him and I know that he can still bring his game to the next level. He has taken on responsibility in the team too.”
