Elite: Newcastle in transfer racket with Juventus sensension compared to Bonucci and chiellini” Federico Gatti also a target too…

A talented teenage defender is set to leave his club this summer amidst links to Newcastle United, according to a recent report

This summer, the Magpies are looking to add players to their roster in order to put together a team that can contend for a spot in the top four.

The responsibility will be on club executives to bring in a number of quality recruits to prevent another disappointing season, as they found themselves stranded last season owing to injuries caused by a lack of squad depth. That being said, a deal to join Tyneside may be in the works since one of their rumored targets is expected to depart Juventus this summer.

Juventus center back Dean Huijsen, who played on loan at Roma the previous season, is expected to depart the Turin giants during the summer transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Newcastle and Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund are leading the chase for Huijsen’s signature; they have spoken with Juventus about signing him.

The 19-year-old, who made his Spain under-21 debut in March, made 14 senior appearances for Roma last term, operating mainly as a centre-back but also in midfield – evincing his terrific versatility.

Juve don’t see Huijsen as part of their plans and are willing to sanction his sale if a bid worth £25m arrives

Thiago Motta, the recently hired manager of Juventus, appears ready to get rid of Huijsen, since the team is currently moving quickly to sell him.

The sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is due to meet with his representatives soon and that could be the catalyst for Newcastle to submit an opening offer.

Though, with Dortmund keeping close tabs, they’ll have to offer Huijsen a convincing pitch.

Newcastle are intensifying their interest in one Juventus player, and are considering making an offer worth around £25 million after stepping up their pursuit

Lloyd Kelly, who joined St. James’ Park on a free transfer, is the only defender the Magpies have signed during the summer transfer window, and it looks like they are trying to add more players to their roster.

Newcastle have been terribly unlucky with injuries in the last 12 months, with the likes of Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles currently enduring lengthy spells on the sidelines.

It seems that they could be about to make a significant offer for one Juventus star, with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that they are tracking Federico Gatti and keen to step up their interest

Newcastle stepping up interest in Federico Gatti

The Old Lady would apparently have to make a decision if Newcastle were to validate their interest in the 26-year-old with a bid of up to £25 million, according to the article.

Gatti enjoyed a really important season in Turin last year, making 30 Serie A starts for the club, having spent much of the early part of his career in the lower leagues. His form saw him earn a place in Italy’s squad for Euro 2024.

Gatti, who was formerly a midfield player, has a wealth of versatility. Additionally, he feels completely at ease playing in a back three or in a two-man center-back duo.
