With three weeks left in the SEC’s 2024 regular season, Ole Miss’ 28-10 victory over Georgia and Alabama’s 42-13 victory over LSU on Saturday left three teams with one conference defeat apiece. The Longhorns and Aggies will play each other on November 30. The one-loss teams are Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M. SEC Football by the Numbers provided the following ten statistics for Week 10, which included six conference games:
4 Rushing touchdowns in consecutive seasons against LSU for Alabama QB Jalen Milroe, who had 185 yards and four TDs on 12 carries during the Crimson Tide’s 42-13 victory over the Tigers on Saturday night. In Alabama’s 42-28 victory over LSU on Nov. 4, 2023, Milroe ran for 155 yards and four TDs on 20 rushing attempts. Saturday’s output gave Milroe 16 rushing TDs in 2024 to surpass the Alabama single-season record for a quarterback set by Jalen Hurts in 2016 with 13. Milroe became the second Crimson Tide player with at least four rushing touchdowns in two games, joining Shaun Alexander, who had four in a 26-0 victory over LSU on Nov. 9, 1996, and five in a 38-31 victory over BYU on Sept. 5, 1998. Milroe’s 185 yards against LSU rank as No. 2 on Alabama’s single-game rushing list for quarterbacks, behind the 190 yards of Steadman Shealy in a 24-7 victory over Mississippi State on Nov. 3, 1979.
In the last 3:18 of Saturday’s Oklahoma-Missouri game, four touchdowns were scored, two of which came on fumbles. An 18-yard touchdown pass from wide receiver Taylor Tatum to quarterback Jackson Arnold on a trick play with 3:18 remaining gave the Sooners a 16–16 lead. With two seconds left, DB Billy Bowman Jr. returned a fumble 43 yards for a touchdown, giving Oklahoma the lead. With 1:03 remaining, quarterback Drew Pyne’s 10-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Theo Wease Jr.
knotted the game for Missouri. With 22 seconds left, defensive end Zion Young returned a fumble 17 yards for a touchdown, giving Missouri a 30-23 victory. In a single game this season, Oklahoma gave up the most fumbles of any SEC team—four—to Missouri.
4 Consecutive Ole Miss home games have set an attendance mark at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Rebels’ 28-10 victory over Georgia on Saturday drew a record crowd of 68,126 to Oxford. The attendance for Ole Miss’ 52-13 victory over Georgia Southern on Sept. 21 was 67,505, which broke the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium record of 66,703 for Ole Miss’ 55-49 victory over LSU on Sept.
30, 2013. On Sept. 28, 67,616 turned out for the Rebels’ 20-17 loss to Kentucky in Oxford. On Oct. 26, 67,926 were on hand to see Ole Miss defeat Oklahoma 26-14 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
Georgia went four years and two days without losing to a team other than Alabama. The Bulldogs suffered their first loss to a team other than the Crimson Tide since Florida defeated Georgia 44-28 on November 7, 2020, when they fell to Ole Miss 28-10 on Saturday. Georgia went 52-0 against all opponents and 1-3 versus Alabama in between the defeats.
10 SEC players have run for at least 20 TDs in a season after Tennessee RB Dylan Sampson reached the total for 2024 with two TD runs in a 33-14 victory over Mississippi State on Saturday. Alabama’s Derrick Henry set the SEC record for rushing TDs in a season with 28 in 2015.
Alabama’s Najee Harris had 26 rushing TDs in 2020, Florida’s Tim Tebow in 2007 and Auburn’s Tre Mason in 2013 had 23, LSU’s Leonard Fournette had 22 in 2015, Alabama’s Trent Richardson in 2011 and Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel in 2012 had 21 and Auburn’s Cam Newton in 2010 and Arkansas’ Alex Collins in 2015 had 20. Sampson also became the SEC’s first 1,000-yard rusher for the 2024 season with 149 yards on an SEC-season-high 30 rushing attempts on Saturday.
In ten consecutive Mississippi State games, the Bulldogs have been given the first kickoff. Despite winning four and losing six games on the first coin toss this season, MSU has had the ball first in every game.

On Saturday, the Gamecocks defeated Vanderbilt 28-7 in Nashville after defeating Kentucky 31-6 on Sept. 7 in Lexington and Oklahoma 35-9 on Oct. 19 in Norman. In 2011, South Carolina defeated Georgia 45-42, Mississippi State 14-12 and Tennessee 14-3 in SEC road games. In the intervening seasons, the Gamecocks posted a 15-35 record in SEC road games.
After throwing for five touchdowns in the Longhorns’ 49-17 victory over Florida on Saturday, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers has now had 20 straight games with a touchdown pass. Ewers left following the opening possession of the second half, having completed 19 of 27 passes for 333 yards. After Casey Thompson’s six touchdown passes in a 57-56 loss to Kansas on November 13, 2021, and Colt McCoy’s six touchdown passes in a 63-31 victory over Baylor on October 14, 2006, Ewers’ performance is equal for third place in a single game in Texas history.
The second player from Texas to record a run of at least 20 games with a touchdown pass is Ewers. In the seasons of 2007, 2008, and 2009, McCoy had a 29-game run.
20 Tackles were made by Mississippi State S Isaac Smith in the Bulldogs’ 33-14 loss to Tennessee on Saturday, tied for the most in the nation this season with Navy LB Colin Ramos, who had 20 in a 56-44 victory over Memphis on Sept. 21. Also on Saturday, Oklahoma LB Danny Stutsman made 19 tackles in a 30-23 loss to Missouri.
The Georgia offense gained 245 yards during Saturday’s 28-10 loss to Ole Miss. The Rebels restricted Georgia to its lowest total since Nov. 11, 2017, when it lost to Auburn 40–17, despite gaining 230 yards. The Bulldogs’ 10 points against Ole Miss were their lowest since they defeated Clemson 10-3 on September 4, 2021. The Bulldogs were held to less than 24 points twice in the 51 games that followed, both times against Kentucky. Georgia defeated the Wildcats 13-12 on September 14 and 16-6 in 2022.
