Addressing students during her visit, she spoke about the importance of determination, perseverance, and dreaming big, qualities that helped her rise to the pinnacle of her sport.
“Went to my Alma mater @LMSAEagles today and had a blast. I’m really at that age in life where I’m leading the swoop,” Little shared in a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Little, who grew up participating in the Chicago Park District’s sports programs, recounted how she first found her passion for track at just five years old.
Competing in the Park District’s “Little Feet Track & Field” competition sparked a love for the sport that would eventually lead her to the world’s biggest stage—the Olympics.
During her time at LMSA, she honed her skills, relying on the resources the school provided while balancing academics and athletics.
Recalling her time as a student-athlete at Lindblom, Little expressed how those years shaped her career.
“I remember being just like these kids, having fun with the limited resources we had but never giving up,” she said.
Little’s journey from the fields of Chicago to the Olympic podium has been one of grit and relentless pursuit of excellence.
During her visit, students were captivated by her stories and accomplishments.

“Dream big, because you never know where life will take you,” she urged the young crowd.
“I never thought as a little girl running around on the track that I’d be standing here today, having traveled the world and competed on the biggest stage.”
