Ipswich HQ: Kieran McKenna has heavily finally gave a delicious verdict about Ipswich slow huddle” since coming back to EPL” There are things from today that I think we will definitely be better on over the course of time” he continues….

The Blues are winless after their opening five matches, but have gone unbeaten over the last three games. They drew at home with Fulham in a clash they could have won, held firm for a 0-0 draw at in-form Brighton and then snatched a point at the death at Southampton on Saturday.

These three matches followed a baptism of fire, which included losses at home to Liverpool and away to four-time defending champions Manchester City. Despite those setbacks, Town managed to find some success, as they currently lie 17th in the early first tier table, two points above the drop zone.

Reflecting on the three-game unbeaten run, Town’s brilliant young boss said: “Three games, two of them away, each a challenge, as they will be, with their own story.

“For us to be as competitive as we have been, to show the different qualities that we have, is good.

“Last week was a different point to this one. At Brighton we were defending and looking to see out a point. This week we’re trying to chase the point and get the late equaliser.”

The Blues now return home to host Champions’ League side Aston Villa on Sunday (2pm), before heading to West Ham on October 5th ahead of next month’s international break.

Look, we know we’ve still got a lot of improving to go,” McKenna admitted.

“There are things from today that I think we will definitely be better on over the course of time.

“But while we’re working on our execution in all phases, building the foundations of a successful group – like never giving up, like showing resilience – is more important.

“And we’ve done those things over the last couple of weeks. It’s always nice to get something from away games.”
