Worst tragedy: Eels iconic formal Boss Brad Arthur critically get real” on potential play for Campbell-Gillard” after many teams rejected him and left him stranded in NRL…..
Reagan Campbell-Gillard’s release from the Parramatta Eels was confirmed, and his former coach Brad Arthur discussed the possibility of making a push for the front-row player.
Campbell-Gillard is currently without a new team to join after several teams withdrew from the running for his services.
At one point, he was said to be inking a deal with either the Brisbane Broncos or the St George Illawarra Dragons. Despite rumors to the contrary, the NSW Blues representative was not wanted by the Broncos, who were forced to withdraw from the contest due to financial difficulties in obtaining his services.
His former coach, Brad Arthur, who also serves as head coach of the Leeds Rhinos, has hinted that he will remain in the NRL after being linked to a possible move to the Super League competition earlier this season. During his Leeds Rhinos press conference last week, Arthur stated, “I think he has got himself sorted to be honest.”
I believe he would desire to play in Super League at some point. Although he still has some NRL left in him, he would undoubtedly be a great asset to this game and any side that managed to sign him. “He’s a decent guy and a good football player.”
It’s understood that the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Sydney Roosters, North Queensland Cowboys, and Dolphins have all eliminated themselves from contention for his signature.
