Case closed: Cristiano Ronaldo has settled the age-old debate” between Michael Jordan and Steph Curry in NBA” while ranking his all-time sporting GOATS…
In response to the Michael Jordan vs. Steph Curry NBA GOAT discussion, Cristiano Ronaldo has stepped in.
The five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or has started a YouTube channel called ‘UR’. As he interacts with his fan base and even conducts interviews with other guests from various realms, the Al Nassr star will reveal a different side.
His other half Georgina Rodriguez is to be heavily featured and Ronaldo has already uploaded nine videos to his channel, where he has over 200,000 subscribers after launching.
A particular segment of the content features the legendary Portuguese player making a ‘This or That’ decision between his idols and preferred sports. In a sports section, Ronaldo had to cock his head to the side to make his selection, and he immediately chose the NBA over the NFL. Then it was up to the former superstars of Real Madrid and Manchester United to choose between two sports legends.
He had immense difficulty when he had to seperate the likes of Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, The Rock and Hulk Hogan and Tom Brady and Tiger Woods.
But when it came to Jordan and Curry, there was no hesitation with Ronaldo’s answer.
He immediately opted for the Chicago Bulls icon, who has six NBA championships to his name after two separate three-peats either side of a brief spell in baseball.
Jordan and point guard Curry of the Golden State Warriors have been compared frequently since Curry’s game-winning performance for the United States against France in the Olympics final. The coach of Curry, Steve Kerr, was once Jordan’s teammate and has compared him to a “modern Jordan”.
And I hate that, it’s not a cop-out answer, but it’s so hard to compare eras.
“And getting into that conversation of ‘oh if you put Michael in this era or if you put LeBron in that era,’ it’s kind of unfair. It’s a great barbershop debate, and it’s something that’ll never stop until the end of time.”
