BREAKING LIVE: That’s it! mark Pope Kentucky wildcats has officially” opened recruitment discussion with double sensension fans favourite” NBA top notch……

In an attempt to make a big impression during their first comprehensive recruiting cycle, Mark Pope and his staff are beginning to narrow down on their top prospects in the class of 2025. Surprisingly, two of the top targets for the Kentucky Wildcats are two recruits in the top 30 of the class who were raised less than 30 minutes away from Rupp Arena.

Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno are very familiar names to BBN, and many across the fanbase hope to see them both suit up for the Cats next season. However, this staff will have to do some winning on the recruiting trail, as neither recruitment at the moment seems like a lay-up.

Who better to give an in-state recruiting pitch to the duo than Houston Rockets guard Reed Sheppard? That’s what he gave Jack Pilgrim of KSR in a recent interview.

“I mean at the end of the day, it’s Kentucky. For me, it was an easy choice. It was my dream school growing up and for them, I hope it’s the same so they have an easy choice to make, as well,” Sheppard told Pilgrim. “At the end of the day, it’s Kentucky. You’re playing on national television every game, you’re gonna be playing against the best players in the world, great facilities. It’s just — it’s a great place to play basketball and a great place to live.”

Sheppard has now entered the top tier of former players to come into the program, having been selected 3rd overall in the NBA Draft just a few months ago. Add in the fact that he grew up in the 13th Region, and that likely catapults him to the top of some fans’ lists of favorite players.

Nevertheless, the Cats are hoping to close in on Johnson and Moreno. With a pitch similar to Sheppard’s, I would start to guess those chances of landing at least one continue to go up and up.
