The Tennessee Volunteers have been extremely successful in their recent recruiting class; in the last few weeks alone, they have signed four-star wide receiver Travis Smith Jr. and four-star linebacker Christian Gass. In addition, four-star safety LaGonza Hayward is scheduled to announce his college decision on Saturday, July 27.
In addition to South Carolina and Georgia, the Vols seem to be leading the race right now for Hayward. However, while fans of the Volunteer program await Hayward’s announcement, a few existing commits have hinted at a possible “surprise commitment” from Hayward before the 27th.
The Vols already have 18 commits in the 2025 recruiting class to date with a little over four months to go until signing day.
