BREAKING: Ronnie O’Sullivan dirty rival Ali Carter have finally declared Ronnie O’Sullivan’s Name BANNED from his practice area after admitting brutal hatred against him base on his….
Ali Carter joked that his opponent Ronnie O’Sullivan’s name is BANNED from his practice area before admitting he has no ill will towards him. Carter and O’Sullivan had been practice partners and become pro at the same time back in the late 1990s. However, over time, their relationship has deteriorated; in 2018, when they ran into each other at the Crucible, Carter called him “Mr Angry” while grinning at the audience. At the 2023 Masters, after Carter was accused of “snotting” on the floor, O’Sullivan went on an unbelievable X-rated tirade and demanded that Carter “sort his f****** life out.” This was only one more turn of events.
The two are still in love, and during an interview with Stephen Hendry on his Cue Tips YouTube channel, Carter was questioned, “Where did it all go wrong?” in their relationship with Ronnie. He then made a joke, saying, “We actually forbid the usage of that name in this room! I will, however, make an exception for you because you are a seven-time world champion.
When we were 16 and 17 and just starting out as professionals, we used to practice a lot together. He used to visit Witham and spend months playing there every day. That coincided with my run (in 199), when I advanced to the Grand Prix semifinals and took home the Benson & Hedges Championship.
The closer the relationship, the more competitive I became… Nothing went wrong; it’s hard to explain. We’ve suddenly become rivals. There were moments when he refused to greet me.
Hendry, a six-time world champion who played professionally himself, went on to say of O’Sullivan, “He’s not the easiest person to be around.” I’ve spent a lot of time with him, and sometimes I don’t talk to him for months at a time. He doesn’t seem to have many close pals, though I’m not sure if that’s intentional. He doesn’t interact with other gamers too often.”
“To be fair, I don’t know too much about him,” Carter retorted. I express what I observe. I don’t hate him; I just don’t spend enough time with him to make an impact on my life. We all know he’s a fantastic snooker player, but I’m not sure what else he’s capable of; I’ll let people judge that for themselves. The ardent Ronnie followers will constantly disgrace you no matter what you say.”
