Sehrou Guirassy has informed VfB Stuttgart that he would prefer to leave the team in the summer, according to reports from Sky Germany and Bild.
The 28-year-old’s top choice to sign is Borussia Dortmund. Nonetheless, AC Milan and Arsenal pose a threat to Dortmund, with the latter being the more formidable opponent. Guirassy reportedly turned down Chelsea as well. Despite Dortmund’s early efforts to sign the striker, Guirassy has not committed to a team.
The €18 million contract with Stuttgart includes a release clause for the 28-year-old. Nuri Sahin, the new head coach of Dortmund, is a huge fan of the striker despite the management change. Guirassy would probably become one of Dortmund’s highest paid players if he relocates there.
It is yet unknown how Stuttgart will take Guirassy’s place. Bringing in current Dortmund attacker Niclas Füllkrug is one option, according to Sky Germany. Füllkrug’s future at Dortmund appears to be open following the possible arrival of Guirassy, and the VfB has already made inquiries on the 31-year-old.
