Davido declares a N300 million commitment to foster homes…..
David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a Nigerian afrobeat musician who has pledged to donate 300 million Naira to orphans throughout the nation.
This was revealed by Davido in a post on his X, or defunct Twitter, account on Tuesday. He went on to say that on Wednesday he will provide more information on the payout.
Davido donated to orphanages every year through his organization, the David Adeleke organization.
In his letter, he stated, “As my annual contribution to the Nation, my foundation and I pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages throughout Nigeria. Details of disbursement will be announced tomorrow.”
Davido has previously donated to foster homes in Nigeria.
In honor of his 29th birthday, Davido gave N250 million to 292 orphanages, according to a November 2021 PUNCH Online article.
The artist was also rumored to have given N237 million to more than 400 Nigerian orphanages in July 2023.
