Block buster deal: Browns set huge contract extension for one of the most deadly goal machine…..
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN anticipates that Browns general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski will talk about contracts at some time during the offseason.
Berry and Stefanski are bound by contracts with the Browns, although those agreements will end following the 2024 campaign.
Cleveland’s season was nearly derailed by notable injuries to players like Deshaun Watson and Nick Chubb. However, the Browns managed to stay in the mix for the playoffs and eventually brought in Joe Flacco, who ultimately became Comeback Player of the Year. The 41-year-old Stefanski started his NFL coaching career in 2005 as an Eagles operations intern. A year later, he was brought on by the Vikings to serve as the head coach’s assistant.
Beforebeing named the team’s temporary offensive coordinator, Stefanksi had a number of responsibilities, including those of QB coach, TE coach, and RB coach.
In his four seasons with the Browns, Stefanski had a 37-30 record, a 1-2 playoffs record, and two postseason appearances. In addition, he was selected as the AP Coach of the Year in 2020 and 2023 following his debut campaign.
In 2019, Berry moved to the Eagles as the vice president of football operations, leaving Cleveland. The next season, he returned to the Browns as general manager.
