NFL choice: Dan Campbell overtake many good coaches to NFL main Honors Award after making it to the finalist….

Several Detroit Lions players are finalists for awards at the annual “NFL Honors” presentation, which is hosted by the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, following a successful 2024 NFL season.

Brad Holmes, general manager, told reporters this week that he thought Dan did an amazing job of preparing the team each and every week. “In my opinion, he handled hardship admirably when it materialized. From an identification perspective, I do believe our opponents knew who they were preparing to play when they came to play us every week. And I believe that Dan is the world. In addition to being a unique coach and leader, he is also a unique person being.”

Head coach Dan Campbell is up for Coach of the Year, while Ben Johnson is a finalist for Assistant of the Year.

Two Lions rookies, Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta, are vying for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Campbell is up against John Harbaugh, DeMeco Ryans, Kyle Shanahan and Kevin Stefanski.

Johnson, who again decided to return to Motown for the upcoming 2024 season, is up against Mike Macdonald, Todd Monken, Jim Schwartz and Bobby Slowik.

The NFL Honors begins at 9 p.m. Thursday and will be televised live on CBS and NFL Network.
